We are happy to welcome Gerard Damiano Jr. & Christar Damiano at the Pornfilmfestival.
No porn film has penetrated pop culture like “Deep Throat”. And not just during its own heyday in the porno chic era of the early 1970s. The simple story of a woman less-than-thrilled with her sex life, only to discover that her clitoris is in the back of her throat, struck a vein with all strata of American culture at the time – in no small part due to leads Linda Lovelace and Harry Reems. In the five decades since its release, books, television programs, documentaries and feature films have all explored the scandal and mystique of the world’s most famous triple X feature, as well as the controversial star herself. For the 50th anniversary of its release, director Gerard Damiano’s children Gerard Damiano Jr. and Christar Damiano will present this 4K restoration of not just porn history, but pop culture history at this year’s festival.
